Thanks Nice to see you on DA again. I spend more time painting because I have more time now (it's summer). And my dad gave me some money to buy supplies with, so now I have one or two blank canvases and more paints/brushes. I walk around the garage listening to 80s rock until I feel like painting something. It's fun Though I feel like part of the painting is still unfinished.

So how's your summer going? You went on a road trip, how was that? See any ghost towns or abandoned amusement parks?

loads of them, though most of the time is spent on the highway. i've become with 80 east in particular.
we went around, all the way through the US to Boston then to Virginia and now we're in Texas. It has been a month. I've loved it.

You can get more 'into' traditional art; walk around, smear the paint, etc. With digital art it's just sitting and staring. A lot of drawings I haven't uploaded because I didn't get a good picture of them with my camera and I haven't scanned them yet.

So you've gone all around the US in the green prius? I can't really imagine a Prius being a road-trip car; that seems sort of like doing a transatlantic flight in a hang glider.

And the 80s rock is fun! I went through an entire 'Kiss: collector's edition' album in under a week: four CDs with nine or ten songs each.

hah, no the prius is a great roadtrippin car.
We get 50 miles per gallon, and on average we pay $25 for a full tank-- we've only had to refill the prius about.. every 300 to 400 miles (going 80-90 mph).
i think thats pretty darned good!

grats on your music ventures, and yes we agree on traditional art reasonings.

you should get some more of your traditional art stuffs online! i would love to see some.

I'll try, but a few are too big to scan and some I'm a bit reluctant to scan (pastels might smear). I need to figure out how to photograph them without blurring or getting an off-color image.

This is really cool- I love the shapes and green waves. Just a tip for acrylics, though, dont use a black from the tube. Mix it from dark reds, blues, and a little yellow or green (depends on whether you want to give the pic a warm or cool depth) Black itself is kinda a dead color. But otherwise, I like this- great job! *goes to check out gallery*
